Well, from a tattooists perspective, in just black with black shading, it’ll look like a lot of dragon tattoos you see all over, but the good news is, that in black and gray it’ll take on the aspect of a portrait of a full-bodied dragon… and it WILL look awesome as such! Check out your artist’s portfolio for his portrait work. If he’s good on portraits he’ll be great on the dragon. It’s the difference between a good tattoo, and a good piece of custom work. black/grey with shading allows for more details and makes it more dimension, most of my hubby’s are black/grey and I like it!
